The Growth of the India’s fastest growing 4G network is declining in the past. Reliance Jio has added 3.9 Million new subscribers to its existing network in the month of April, as passed out by the Data from TRAI.
TRAI, Telecom Regulator Association of India published its data reports for the subscribers base in the Indian Telecom Ecosystem. The total subscribers base grew to 1198.8 Million in April from 1194 Million in March. It’s quite a low trend in the telecom spectrum.
Reliance Jio started its customer acquisition at a great phase in the first six months of its venture. The acquisition was going great as the customers were overwhelmed by the pricing of operators such Airtel, Idea, and Vodafone. But as the days went, the 4G market in India saturated leaving a lag in the acquisition game.
According to the reports, Reliance Jio has added about 3.9 Million subscribers in last month, leaving Bharathi Airtel in the second place. However, the other market players are, in the following order: BSNL, Vodafone, and Idea. Reliance Jio accounted for 87 % of new mobile connection that was made in the month of April, marking it as a strong placeholder in the Indian market.
On the other side, the small telcos are facing greater troubles, which includes Tata Teleservices, Aircel, MTNL etc. It’s a quite rough time of these telcos because they are prepared to fight against such a larger investment-backed competitors.
If the conditions prevail, we will be able to predict the next hopes for Jio and its bundled services.Once the service quality stands to par with other service providers with an affordable rate to fit the customer’s pockets, Jio can continue its race to the finish line successfully, if its tries to add the burden of cost to the customer’s shoulder it’s not going be a good race for the Ambani Telecom.
